The São Mamede Wine Project is a small, independent natural wine company. As a commercial enterprise, we do not offer volunteering opportunities directly within the vineyard, winery, or wine bar.
However, if you’re looking to connect with the heart of our project, you’re warmly invited to volunteer at The Quinta Project, our farm and community base.
Located beneath the medieval village of Marvão, the Quinta is where it all began: a once-abandoned farm that we’re restoring slowly through permaculture, rewilding, and shared effort. Volunteers live on the farm and assist with land care, gardening, food preservation, and maintaining daily life. It’s a social, queer-positive, off-grid (“with some luxuries”) space where we host friends, neighbours, and occasional small gatherings.
